Heading out to dinner with my man tonight in my new 9.99 skirt from my favorite mid-city gem, HI-FASHION 5.99 on Pico at Fairfax. It’s like a Ross of Forever 21 and it’s my favorite place to blow 40 bucks on a new wardrobe.
Girl this skirt was 9.99! I’m gonna wear it to Soho house and they will love it.
If you know me than you know I LOVE ImPress instant manicure nails. You also prolly know that I love looking fierce but I do it on a very tight starving artist budget. These nails are amazing but they run around 10 bucks a set, but I’ve found a fun way to get more bang for you buck that I wanna share with muh Tumblr gurls.
So each pack comes with 24 nails, but 12 sizes. After you put 10 on there’s a bunch of nails that don’t fit your nails at all/that well that are pretty much worthless.
So what you do is you buy 2 packs- one print and one solid. (PS there are coupons for a dollar off on their site) Wear both sets by themselves. Look amazing. Then with the leftover “second string” nails from both the print and the solid pick out 10 that fit okay. The prints seem to have different sizes than the solids so its easier to fit nails on each hand mixing the sets.
Now you can get 2 more whole sets outta the packs! Just remember to swab your nails with rubbing alcohol before applying or they’ll come right off.

Every time I try new outfits I try to document them. So last night I wore my red pants (30, alloy.com) for the first time, as well as my new loafers (urban outfitters online- on sale for 30 right now!).
I love the look of a girl in cute tailored pants and loafers- some of my really stylish gal friends have been pulling it off for years, but my style is so overtly-gurly I’ve been too afraid to try it.
To Gurl it up I made sure to wear big bling hoops, my Michael Kors pink bling watch, and of course my new found fave- LIPSTICK.
I also need to start getting people to take my picture so I don’t look like such a creep on my computer cam.
