On Friday night I went out with my gurl Shannon and we had NO idea where we were going. We ended up going to see our gurl Kathryn dance at this CRAZY ASS Venue/Event called Freak City. It goes down on Friday nights in Hollywood in this old abandoned department store.
This. Place. Has. Everything. Skinny hip people. Hip Skinny People. A lady with an afro doing nails. Racks and racks of one-of-a-kind vintage clothes at fab prices (this leather skirt with jewel work was 30 dollars. I didn’t bring my card with me and I was SO BUMMED), DJ’s pumpin jams, crazy dancers, underage drinkers, freaks, geeks, nerds, chics, dancers wearing wigs on their faces, faces wearing wigs on their dancers, hammer pants, American Apparel girls in just tights, shufflebots, pop stars.
It was the weirdest place ever- and I am most certainly gonna go again cause it was a blast. I still don’t quite get it but here’s the website in case you wanna check it out.
