My life, my face

LA woman by way of The Big D. I love the 90's. I wear wigs more often than most people. Peggy Bundy is my fashion icon. I look fly at all times cause I live by the creed "fake it til you make it." I live to be funny and I'm livin the dream. Here you'll find veggies, dogs, fashion, fierceness, funny, my life, and my face. This content is aimed at my closest friends and people I have never met -Jackie Johnson

When I saw this hilarious and wonderful bit last night, I said “I bet this was Amy Poehler’s idea.” And the LA Times blog confirms that it was. I fucking love that she thought of this and got everyone else on board. The media is constantly trying to sell us on the idea that WOMEN HATE EACH OTHER. We are jealous of how pretty other women are, we want what other women have, we are all like two seconds away from tearing each other’s weaves out at ALL TIMES because we are competitive and hateful and crazy. And while that is true 100% of the time for real housewives of major metropolitan areas, my own experience tells me it’s really not the case for regular, non-reality-star ladies. And so anyway, rather than squawking on her tumblebloggerpage about unfair characterization by the media for the last 1000 years, Amy actually did something to SHOW that women can have fun with each other and cooperate and risk looking silly together and be happy for each other when one of them wins something. I love that she walks the walk, that she shows instead of tells. She is a HERO (to borrow an Alison phrase) and an inspiration and it makes me proud to be affiliated with the UCB.
